The Irpinia Club was founded in 1977 in Toronto, Ontario by Italian-Canadians from the geographic area of Irpinia in Italy. The Club provides Canadians from all walks of life an opportunity to celebrate and experience the rich diversity of Italian culture through its annual events.
The Club also actively supports community initiatives through its fundraising aspect. Since 2012, Irpinia Club has specifically focused on improving health care for the elderly community through raising funds to benefit the Geriatric Medicine Division at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
The Irpinia Club is managed by committee made up of an Executive Committee and Councillors from the Irpinia area of Italy.
Irpinia Club welcomes everyone who is interested in exploring all things Italian and Irpinese. The multi-cultural diversity of Toronto and area provides for a great social network of Italian-Canadians in which to experience Italy's "Irpinia" including its foods, cheese, wines, and regional differences among the many "comuni".
